For my beat in my public issues reporting class last fall, I covered methamphetamine abuse in San Mateo County. For my final project, I did a photography piece on BRIDGES, an intensive drug treatment center in Redwood City. Check out the piece below, or click here to see an earlier version of the piece (only the beginning is different and the image quality is much better).

Pocast-astic
This was the first podcast I made last year. It was about Half Moon Bay's reaction to Proposition 5, the Nonviolent Offender Rehabilitation Act. The measure would have expanded treatment options for nonviolent drug offenders and limited court authority to incarcerate offenders. California residents defeated the proposition in November by a margin of 9.2%.

InternetIsFun
This fall, I worked as a manager of an ambassador marketing program for one of Street Attack's clients, InternetIsFun. I designed a digital campaign and recruited and managed 7 people. Street Attack
I worked at Street Attack last summer as the online and social media intern. Street Attack is a kickass company based in Boston that really got me hooked on alternative marketing. I got to design web campaigns (social media optimization, blog outreach, web portals, etc.) and also design and execute some killer street tactics. I was also the blog editor for the summer and the first half of the school year. Check out the blog here.

Ah Street Attack, I do miss you so.

Friendlypla.net
Last year in my digital entrepreneurship class, I worked with a small team to design, build and market a website. We came up with FriendlyPla.net, a network-based traveling site. We used social media optimization (Facebook, Twitter, mySpace, etc.), blog outreach and street tactics to create some buzz. Some our features included FlickR photostreams, Google Maps, comment fields, RSS news feeds and Facebook Travel Application integration.
